Our trip back to Singapore and JKT

Here are the pictures as promised, in chronological order...

Amelia's birthday, 14th Feb 2008

Amelia is a V-day baby. You would think that she's a hopeless romantic, but she actually never ever celebrates her birthday (or V-day) at any expensive pish-posh places. She thinks there's no point paying the premium… We couldn't agree more. V-day is for suckers.

This is Leslie and Amelia...

Lester's parents. So who does he take after? A bit of both I think.

Meeting up with old friends

These are the MEC girls. Ever beautiful and sassy, every single one of them.

Dinner at Mark and Heather's new pad

Lovely place they have, its got a super huge balcony where you can sit and laze and enjoy the view all day and night.

Heather and I were colleagues at MEC, we joined at about the same time and shared raises, promotions, joys, frustrations, anger, anxieties, shopping marathons, wedding proposals (H&M are getting married end of the year) and most recently trying out wedding gowns for the first time. We're tight. She's the best, and she's got the most likable ang-moh fiancé in the world.

This is Mark, some video production something at ESPN. He can sing, he's funny, and he's a great chef, he whipped a delicious Spag-Bol for us. SO YUMMY….

Heather and her freaky neck.

Jakarta, kids and more kids!

The trip back to JKT was more relaxed this time. We spent 4 days back home, and played a lot with the children. You won't believe this but Lester is the most patient when he plays with children. And the babies totally dig him…

This is Mischa and Lester. She practically ran to him and clung on to him like a chimpanzee the first time they met. She didn't even need to warm up. I'm so jealous that Mischa likes him more than her own aunt! She wants him to carry her everywhere they went.

This is Shannon and her classic smile, u won't know if she still can see.

And this is Sonia, my god daughter. Son's a bit more independent so she likes to play alone. She's a tough nut to crack.

On the whole, the JKT trip was quite fun. It was a good chance for Lester to get to know my family. I think he enjoyed getting to know them as well.

I'll be posting birthday pictures up soon. Watch out for them!
