chicken pot pie
I tried a new dish a couple of days ago. i found this recipe from a friend's blog and felt i could pull it off. it wasn't bad for a first attempt. I added button mushrooms to the recipe which was a good call, added a bit of texture and flavour to the pie. I need to work on the pastry though, it was a tad too thin, and too salty (which was my fault cos i used salted butter). Maybe next time i shd try it with a flaky pastry instead.

Like you i love to cook =) (used to make pot pie for my cafe many years ago). Anyway, might wanna try adding some white wine (at the end) and fresh thyme leaves, gives the flavour a good kick.
