Throughout the 4 days in Korea, we were very lucky to stumble upon good restaurants almost every meal. The key is to wait till meal time and see which shop has the most patrons. Works like magic! The prices were also relatively reasonable, making the eating even more enjoyable.
U must eat the Ginseng Chicken (Samyetang) when u go to Seoul. This particular shop in Myeong Dong is popular amongst locals and tourists, and i can see why. The ingredients were fresh and the soup is salt free, u can add ur own salt if u wish.
Barbequed pork meat, garlic and kimchee wrapped in lettuce. This was a restaurant in Insadong. I like it that koreans eat pickle every meal, even if u're having italian!

i loved the sights and sounds of seoul. but i can't get used to the food. :( while the friends merrily lapped up korean food, i had to look for sandwiches or western fare. OR eat instant noodles. till now, i'm still not quite fond of it.
imp> actually western food is pretty good in korea too right? most of the luxe guide recommendations are either french or italian restos.
